Nnenna Ikpo Cooks and Now Drives with Knorr
From the kitchen to the highway, Nnenna Ikpo can now experience even bigger opportunities for cooking with Knorr
The Knorr ‘Cook & Drive’ Competition
In 2009, Unilever Nigeria launched the Knorr ‘Cook & Drive’ competition to reward consumers that brought family mealtimes alive in their various homes by cooking with Knorr. These consumers included Miss Nnenna Ikpo, an Abia State indigene, who emerged the competition’s star prize winner after the entries were sorted and the grand finale draw was held in Lagos.
Consequently, Miss Ikpo was formally presented with her brand new Kia Carrens SUV by Unilever Nigeria’s Managing Director, Thabo Mabe in May.
“At first I did not believe it, but now I have seen. Unilever you too much, Unilever na you biko!” she said when receiving her brand new car.
Her brother, Easy Eme, who also attended the handing-over event noted that he was overwhelmed by the gift, confessing that at first he thought it was ‘419’, but was thankful it was real.
Impacting lives positively
“Knorr is designed to create excitement in people’s kitchens and bring people together. It presents every family with the opportunity to bond at mealtimes and share special moments as these bonding opportunities are an integral part of family life. I am glad that the Knorr brand is making such an impact in lives because as we can see here, it has certainly brought Nnenna and her family new opportunities” declared Brand Building Director, Dominic Kimani at the presentation ceremony.
And to create an even bigger impact in the lives of other consumers, Mr. Kimani stated that Unilever will launch the second leg of the Knorr ‘Cook & Drive’ promotion where three winners across the country will cart away three brand new cars.
