NAIROBI, October 2016 – Unilever, through its health soap Lifebuoy today launched the High 5 for handwashing campaign to mark the Global Handwashing Day– now in its 9th year – to raise awareness of the importance of handwashing with soap in reducing child mortality.
The amount was granted to Secondary School students from different parts of the country under Unilever’s Chuo Club Program.
Event highlights the importance of handwashing with soap and its potential to save the lives of 600,000 children across the world who die every year before their fifth birthday due to easily preventable infections like diarrhoea and pneumonia
