Unilever Nigeria launches new variants of Lux Beauty Soap
The night of glamour was tagged 'Night of Temptation' It was truly one seeing all the glamour, beauty, razzmatazz and fun. This particular night of Temptation was better witnessed than imagined.
Night of Temptation
It was indeed a Night of Temptation on the day of the Lux Relaunch as men and women came in exquisite wears with 'a touch of red' ready to tempt another. The Guest of Honour at the relaunch; Helen Ajayi, an ageless beauty who was Miss Nigeria in 1979, was not left out as she graced the occasion in a lovely attire which could have earned her another Beauty Pageant title.
Emphasising the importance of beautiful skin to beauty in women, Helen said that a woman can never be determined to be beautiful if she has bad skin since “Beauty is but skin- deep”. She said further that a beautiful complexion is the first building block of beauty, and that throughout the ages that when people talk about beautiful women: “it is to their complexion that homage is first paid.”
Helen, who felt highly honoured to be invited for the relaunch of Lux which she described as: “a leading iconic beauty brand which has always been endorsed by beautiful glamorous women”, declared that : “when I was growing up everybody wanted to be associated with this iconic beauty brand (Lux) which helped to deliver a beautiful and smooth skin.
According to Helen, Plato; the Great Philosopher, once said that beauty is “a privilege of nature”, but we all know that nature can always do with a little help she added.
In concluding her speech, Helen, commended Lux to all those ladies who want to look beautiful and therefore testified: “ I am proud to note that since 1924, this great beauty bar (Lux) has always been there to help”
Providing rationale for the re-launch, Mrs Oiza Gyang, Brand Manager, Lux, said the variants were developed to meet consumers needs for beauty in the Nigerian market, knowing that women, the world over, want to look and feel beautiful as this boosts their confidence and gives an impetus towards striving for excellence.
“You know every woman wants to be pampered. And to have well-groomed and healthy looking consumers, Unilever Plc has repositioned Lux beauty soap to further give the Nigerian woman a Luxurious bath experience,” she said.
New Lux Range
The new Lux range is a blend of luscious fruits and moisturising cream that enhances a soft and smooth skin. The four variants are Peach & Cream, Strawberry & Cream, Nut & Cream and Even Glow.
The Peach & Cream variant is lovingly created with a blend of juicy peach and moisturising cream to give a velvety soft and smooth skin.
Lux Strawberry & Cream, formulated with a sumptuous mix of luscious strawberries and moisturising cream leaves the skin deliciously soft and smooth.
Lux Nut & Creamis lovingly created for extra thirsty skin with Macadamia oil and rich cream to extra moisturise leaving the skin nourished and soft.
Lux Even Glow, which gets even with the skin, spoils the senses with its blended mix of Black Pearl dust and Shea Butter that leaves the skin feeling deliciously moisturised and evenly glowing.
Investment in Technology
Unilever has invested in unique technology to incorporate fruity moisturising glycerine petals which are visible before and during use into the soap. These glycerine petals extra moisturise and help to soften and enhance smoothness of the skin.
In addition to its unique formulation, the new range also has new and enticing feminine fragrances, attractive and trendy pack design. The new range suits different skin types and offers unsurpassed luxury to the skin as it will retail at N50 and N120 for the 75g and 200g packs respectively.
